In Bashkiria, a hired «sober driver» for a wedding seized the groom’s vehicle and caused an accident.
According to BAKU.WS, referencing the Mash Telegram channel, the event took place in Oktyabrsky. The newlyweds had engaged a «sober driver» service to transport guests and the wedding cake to a ski resort, with plans for the driver to return by taxi.
However, the driver extended his stay at the celebration. After consuming a significant amount of alcohol, he took the keys to the groom’s luxury car for a joyride. At an intersection, the impaired driver lost control and crashed into another vehicle, subsequently abandoning the damaged car and fleeing the scene.
The individual was apprehended for stealing a Mazda 6 valued at 2.5 million rubles. The owner incurred 600 thousand rubles in repair costs for the damaged vehicle.
