International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) will discuss the participation of Russian athletes under their national flag in June 2026, as reported by Nikita Filippov, a silver medalist at the 2026 Olympics.
“In June, there will be sessions with both the International Olympic Committee and our international federation. The issue of our participation under the national flag will be addressed. Additionally, it will be determined whether an individual race will be added to the Olympics and if the number of quotas will be increased,” Filippov is quoted by TASS.
Filippov, 23 years old, won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Italy, where he competed under a neutral status. At the end of January 2026, he secured a bronze medal at a World Cup event in Spain.
