The Lager 157 Ski Team and Exsitec Ski Team announced a pivotal move in their extensive plans for the 2024/2025 season by forging a new partnership with Exsitec Ski Team.
In Ski Classics Season XV, the Lager 157 Ski Team secured 4th place in the Pro Team rankings, while the Exsitec Ski Team finished 16th overall. Both Pro Teams have now committed to collaborating.

According to a press release, the Exsitec Ski Team will serve as a recruitment hub for the Lager 157 Ski Team, further enhancing the youth initiative launched before the 2021/2022 season.
“This idea emerged in the spring, and we have since been working towards it, feeling prepared to field two teams,” stated Anton Järnberg, Pro Team Director of Lager 157 Ski Team, in the press release.
Exsitec Ski Team has been part of Ski Classics since the 2021/2022 season. Klas Nilsson and Einar Kalland-Olsen will continue from the previous season, and a significant portion of the team will be composed of members from the Lager 157 Ski Team’s Youth Team.
“After last season, we aimed to help the team take the next step and explore various options. The opportunity to merge with Lager 157 Ski Team, backed by their long-standing organization and focus on development, was a perfect fit for both sides,” remarked Niclas Hägglund, Pro Team Director and Business Developer at Exsitec.
In the upcoming season, the Lager 157 Ski Team organization will operate two teams concurrently: the Lager 157 Ski Team and the Exsitec Ski Team. This aims to create more opportunities for young athletes in long-distance skiing.

“We believe we are prepared for this challenge. We can continue to promote Swedish skiing and enable more young skiers to compete at the highest levels of long-distance skiing,” concluded Järnberg.
The full team will be unveiled progressively throughout the fall, though it’s already confirmed that Klas Nilsson, Einar Kalland Olsen, Ella Olsson, Elin Törnqvist, and Bruno Dettman will represent the team in Ski Classics Season XVI (2024/2025).
