The Craft Ski Marathon serves as a pivotal kick-off for the race season for many recreational skiers in Sweden, held in early January.
Each year, the event draws around 800 participants, featuring both recreational and professional skiers on the starting line.
The course consists of two laps totaling 21km each, amounting to a full 42km run using classic technique. The starting and finishing point is the Grönklitt ski metropolis, located just 10km from Mora—renowned for being the finish line of the Vasaloppet.
The Local Organizing Committee is excited for this weekend’s event:
“We eagerly anticipate welcoming skiers back to Grönklitt for the 11th edition of the Craft Ski Marathon. This year, we aim to provide an even larger event for both skiers and spectators.”
The Craft Ski Marathon is scheduled for January 14, 2024. In addition to the 42km long-distance race, the event will also feature a Ski Classics Challengers race and a shorter 21km option.

As the 42km race is part of the Ski Classics Challengers, registered athletes from Pro Teams can earn points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective categories.
A list of confirmed Ski Classics Challengers events for the 2023/2024 season can be found on the Ski Classics website. This list is continuously updated with new events.
All participants in Ski Classics events, whether Pro Tour or Challengers, as well as both professional and amateur skiers, can link their profiles to the Ski Classics results database known as MyPages.

Points are accumulated based on your results, conferring badges and diplomas for achievements.
