The ski resorts of the Caucasus have kicked off 2026 with record-breaking attendance figures. The initial statistics from the New Year season indicate a significant surge in interest for active winter holidays.
Record at «Mamisone»: first thousand in a day
On January 4, the «Mamisone» ski resort in North Ossetia welcomed over a thousand guests for the first time during the New Year holidays, totaling 1,231 skiers and snowboarders.
Statistics from «Elbrus»: evening skiing and overall numbers
The «Elbrus» resort in Kabardino-Balkaria has also recorded impressive results:

For the first time since the launch of evening skiing, over 500 people (560 riders) were simultaneously on the slopes.

On Saturday and Sunday, January 3-4, the resort was visited by 14,300 people.

Daily attendance during the holidays averages between 6,500 and 7,000 riders.
Achievements of the under-construction «Veduchi» resort
On January 4, the under-construction «Veduchi» resort in Chechnya set its own New Year holiday record, welcoming 450 people in a day. Moreover, from January 1 to 4, the resort saw a 25% increase in visitors compared to the same period last year, 2025.
Future prospects for the season
The data presented are just the initial results of the extended New Year holidays. A comprehensive season analysis will be conducted in a week, as there are still seven days of snowy weekends ahead, which are likely to bring new attendance records to the ski slopes of the Caucasus.
