In a bid to boost tourism, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan is actively enhancing the quality of roads that connect to key tourist attractions throughout the country, as reported by the ministry’s press service.
Recent repairs have been made to routes including Karkyra — Turuk — Sary-Jaz, as well as the roads leading to the Karakol ski resort, Arslanbob walnut grove, Sary-Chelek Lake, and resorts along the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake.
Ongoing improvements are being made to roads heading to Arashan — Chunkurchak, Jyrgalan, Ala-Too ski resort, and Kyrchyn pasture.
These initiatives are designed to create a more comfortable experience for tourists and foster the growth of domestic tourism.
Additionally, a new plant has been established in Kyrgyzstan for the production of thermoplastic used in road markings. This facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology and an in-house laboratory, enabling it to serve the domestic market while also exploring export opportunities.
