Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic 2025

The Ski Classics Challengers event, the Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic, was held last Saturday, featuring a 40km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Vernon, Canada. Check out the results.

After an action-packed day, the Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic saw Anikken Gjerde Alnæs from Team Engcon and Oskar Kardin from Lager 157 Ski Team emerge victorious in their respective races.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – Women’s Race

In the women’s race, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs from Team Engcon clinched victory, finishing in 2:06:18.9.

Katherine Stewart-Jones from Nakkertok Nordique (QC) secured second place, finishing 6:18.5 behind, while Katie Weaver from Hollyburn Ski Club rounded out the podium in third place, finishing 9:03.2 back.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – Men’s Race

In the men’s competition, Oskar Kardin from Lager 157 Ski Team finished first with a time of 1:53:38.1.

Scott Hill from Team Hardwood took second place, finishing 1:29.5 back, followed by Tom Stephen from Foothills Nordic in third place, trailing 1:48.1 behind the winner.

Following an exciting day, the Ski Classics Challengers event concluded with Katherine Stewart-Jones from Nakkertok Nordique (QC) and Scott Hill from Team Hardwood triumphing in their respective races.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate – Women’s Race

Katherine Stewart-Jones from Nakkertok Nordique (QC) emerged as the winner, completing the race in 2:00:07.8.

Alison Mackie from Edmonton Nordic finished second, just 1.2 seconds behind, while Sonia Schmidt from Whitehorse Nordic Ski Society secured third place, finishing 1:12.9 back.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate – Men’s Race

Scott Hill from Team Hardwood took the victory with a total time of 1:47:30.4.

Sasha Masson from Whitehorse Nordic Ski Society finished second, 3:16.0 behind, followed by Ian Williams from Telemark Nordic, 4:30.3 back, completing the podium in third place.
