Värnamorullen – Ski Classics Challengers
On September 6, Värnamorullen returns for its ninth edition in Värnamo, central Southern Sweden, and its fourth as a Ski Classics Challengers event.
The event welcomes both professional and recreational skiers, alongside young athletes, to enjoy a beautiful route winding through picturesque landscapes on a well-maintained surface. The roller ski course consists of a mildly hilly loop, making it accessible for all skill levels. The main race distances 40 km, with shorter options available.

Participants will experience the classic “Småländsk” countryside, lined with meadows and charming villages. A hearty meal, complete with drinks, coffee, and cake, will be available at the event area, allowing participants to relish good food and connect with fellow skiing enthusiasts.

Swedish Championships Status
In June, the Swedish Ski Association announced that this year’s Värnamorullen has received Swedish Championship (SM) status, enhancing its prestige and likely attracting an even stronger elite field.

As the 40km Värnamorullen is a Ski Classics Challengers event, registered Pro Team athletes can earn points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective categories.
A list of confirmed Ski Classics Challengers events for the 2025/2026 season is available on the Ski Classics website and continues to grow with new events.
All participants in Ski Classics competitions, both Pro Tour and Challengers, and both professional and amateur skiers can connect their profiles to the Ski Classics results database known as MyPages.
MyPages registration is free. In your profile, you can view results from classic skiing events, collect badges, print diplomas, and analyze your performance with friends in the SC ranking system. You accumulate points based on your results, earning badges and diplomas.
