Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo — Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XV — Event 1
Ski Classics kicks off its XV season with the Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo competition in Sportgastein, Austria. This event marks the first stage of Season XV, where all Pro Team organizations and their athletes can showcase their new racing suits and sponsors, as well as their skills.
The Pro Team Tempo competition is organized in an interval start format with block starts. Each Pro Team begins one at a time, with the top-ranked teams positioned across the field. There’s a 4-minute gap between blocks.
All members of the Pro Team are present at the start, with male athletes beginning first and finishing after 6.3 km. When the second athlete of a Pro Team crosses the finish line, all female athletes from that team start racing for another 6.3 km. The finish time for the second-place female athlete from the professional team is counted.
