International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has permitted 19 Russian athletes to compete in international events under neutral status, according to Sports.kz referencing Inside the Games.

“Last week, FIS approved the official application process for obtaining neutral status. As part of this process, the organization revised the previously existing regulations regarding athletes linked to military and security structures, removing the clause that prohibited athletes associated with the Armed Forces of Russia or security agencies from competing.

The following Russian athletes received neutral status:

Skiing: Daria Nepreiaeva, Ksenia Shorokhova, Nikita Denisov, and Sergey Volkov.

Snowboarding: Ilya Khurtin, Yegor Klyuev, Dmitry Podolsky, Konstantin Sannikov, Igor Sluev, Varvara Romanova, Ilya Vityugov, Yana Ulyanova, and Maria Valova.

Ski Jumping: Danil Sadreev, Evgeny Klimov, Ilya Mankov, Mikhail Nazarov, and Konstantin Nikolaev.

Freestyle: Maxim Senkevich.

On September 2, FIS decided that Russian athletes would be allowed to participate in the 2026/27 season competitions under neutral status,” the portal reports.

The International Ski Federation (FIS) completely banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in all competitions under its aegis starting March 1, 2022. This decision was made by the FIS Council according to the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
